What is OCIA?
OCIA is a process whereby adults are gradually introduced to the fullness of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Catholic Church. OCIA is a process whereby adults are gradually introduced to the fullness of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Catholic Church.

How long is the OCIA program at St. Alban Roe?
OCIA is a spiritual journey for about thirty weeks which includes periods for making inquiry and for maturing, and also include steps marking the person's journey: 
- Discernment
- Catechesis (instruction)
- Enlightenment, prayer and renewal in Lent and the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation at Easter
- Deepening the Christian experience and understanding of teaching for lifelong participation as a member of the Catholic Church.
